Smiths Interconnect — a Molex company
V7.0 preserves the Smiths Interconnect product lineage while recording Molex as the current owner. Filtered signal Micro-D, Twinax and high-frequency coax families stay separate so RF capability is never transferred to a standard signal family.
MIL-DTL-83513 Filter Micro-D
Published cavity arrangements: 9, 15, 21, 25, 31, 37, 51, 100
Modes exposed: PC-tail PCB, right-angle PCB and solder cup
Variant: EMI/RFI filtered Micro-D.
Guardrail: 69 contacts are not exposed. The current Smiths catalog page explicitly shows 9/15/21/25/31/37/51/100, and ConnectorAtlas does not fill the gap by assumption.
Micro-D Twinax MDTX
Arrangements: 2, 4, 6, 8 way
Bandwidth: up to 3 GHz
Impedance: nominal 100 Ω differential pair
Envelope: -55 to +125 °C, 3 A DC maximum.
MDTX remains a Twinax family; these RF/high-speed attributes are not transferred to filtered or coax families.
MDCX — Micro-D Coax
Arrangements: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 way
Characteristic impedance: 50 Ω
Frequency: DC to 10 GHz
Temperature: -65 to +165 °C.
MDCX and MDHC share Micro-D-style packaging but remain separate searchable frequency families.
MDHC — High-Frequency Micro-D Coax
Arrangements: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 way
Characteristic impedance: 50 Ω
Frequency: DC to 40 GHz
Temperature: -65 to +165 °C.
Guardrail: a 41 GHz requirement does not pass the current public MDHC evidence.
